Project coordinator, Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), presented EXTRACT technology and its use for urban mobility in the summer school course, “Digitilazacion of Mobility” hosted by FACTUAL, EIT Urban Mobility (co-funded by the European Union) with support from the Barcelona Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM).
The course, which took place from 10-11 July in Barcelona, sought to deepen attendees understanding of new technologies in mobility and to give them the necessary skills to include new tools in their day to day activities. Attendees included mobility professionals from the public and private sector.
The BSC gave an overview of EXTRACT´s vision of data science and AI in cities through a compute continuum prespective including edge and cloud computing. Moreover, it provided a tutorial on what the contiuum could mean in the realm digitalizing mobility and harnessing data science and AI.
