The EXTRACT project was present at EGI 2025, participating in the session Bridging Cloud, HPC, and Edge: Open Ecosystems for a Seamless Compute Continuum, a double session dedicated to the compute and data continuum, where computing spans from edge devices to clouds and HPC systems.
Xavier Palomo (Barcelona Supercomputing Center) presented EXTRACT: Advancing Extreme Data Mining across the Compute Continuum, showcasing the project’s approach to harnessing extreme-scale data across heterogeneous computing infrastructures.
EXTRACT was also represented through a poster Harnessing Extreme Data for Decision-Making in Crisis Management and Astronomy, illustrating the project’s two use cases and how extreme data processing enables real-world decision-making.
