Elli Kartsakli, from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center partner presented the EXTRACT project at the 2023 Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Her presentation, “Edge Computing for a Cleaner and Safer Mobility”, was held at the Generalitat de Catalunya booth on 9 November 2024 at 10am. Elli delved into the importance of edge computing for collecting data and turning it in to knowledge. She described the importance of data mining life cycle management and the work done by EXTRACT to offer a personalized approach to urban crisis management based on capturing and employing extreme data.
