
EXTRACT’s Personalised Evacuation Routing (PER) system use case will be presented at the upcoming “EU Science for Preparedness Conference” co-organised by the Copernicus Emergency Management Service and the Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre. The event will take place from 4-6 November 2025 in Turin, Italy.
This event will bring together leading experts from scientific research, policymaking, and crisis response to explore how science and innovation can enhance Europe’s preparedness for future crises.
EXTRACT partners from Metropolitan City of Venice and LOGOS RI will present a poster on the PER, explaining the project’s main results and success in improving evacuation guidance during emergencies. They will explain project benefits including adapting routes to real-time conditions, using the digital twin of Venice and applyig AI strategies to ensure the specific needs of individuals on the ground are met. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the project’s approch, technology and to discuss its potential application with emergency preparedness and response frameworks.
