ELIXIRION Schools 3 & 4 took place at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) over four days in late September 2025, bringing together researchers and experts to explore topics ranging from non-terrestrial networks and satellite communications to AI and edge computing.
As part of the school, BSC researchers Alba Cañete Garrucho and Oriol Martínez Acon delivered a hands-on training session on behalf of the EXTRACT project, covering cloud-native technologies, orchestration, and distributed computation across the compute continuum.
BSC coordinates the EXTRACT project, and the session gave participants direct, practical experience with the cloud and compute continuum technologies at the heart of its research.
BSC participates in the ELIXIRION project, which focuses on establishing a training and research network, by leveraging cutting-edge 6G technologies to lay the groundwork for the Healthcare 4.0 paradigm.
