Partner Barcelona Supercomputing Center will take part in the HiPEAC 2024 Workshop: “CompContinuum: Computing Continuum of Cloud, Edge, and IoT Technologies” on 19 January 2024, 14h-17:30. This afternoon workshop examines how the computing landscape is rapidly changing as complex workloads combining traditional simulations with large-scale data analytics and machine learning become increasingly common.
Large-scale and distributed computing is increasingly being applied to domains with high societal impact, such as autonomous vehicles and smart cities. The compute continuum, made up of cloud, HPC, edge and IoT technologies provides diverse capabilities and can encourage scalability, cost-effectiveness, high performance processing and energy efficiency. Combining these technologies effectively can optimize the computing infrastructure of organizations.
